Job summary

Hyatt Regency Coral Gables is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead the hotel’s accounting function, ensuring accurate GL operations and timely reporting. You will work with the Director of Finance to align with Hyatt standards and improve cost controls.

The role includes preparing journals, month-end closings, budgets, and supporting audits, while supervising accounting staff and IT-related controls.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or accounting degree preferred.
• 2+ years progressive accounting experience, preferably in hotels.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• Prior MICROS, ADP/Enterprise, TimeSaver, and Opera/PMS expertise desired.
• Strong Word/Excel skills; effective written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hotel's general ledger operations and support the Director of Finance.
• Run the finance department efficiently in line with Hyatt standards.
• Prepare and review journal vouchers, month-end closings, and reconciliations.
• Review financial statements and assist with annual audits and SOX compliance.
• Manage hotel on-site accounting, budgeting, cash management, and reporting.
