Job summary

Loews Coral Gables Hotel is seeking an Accounting Generalist to be the heart of financial operations, analyzing data and supporting cross-functional teams to maintain accurate records and drive informed decisions.

You will handle ad hoc accounting tasks, banking and cash management, payroll distribution, and assist in reporting and audits. The role emphasizes attention to detail, analytical thinking, and timely compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher preferred in accounting/finance/hospitality or related field.
• Experience in hospitality accounting or income/night audit management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform ad hoc accounting activities in support of operations and the Financial Director.
• Banking and auditing cash boxes, daily deposits, and petty cash.
• Organize and distribute paychecks as directed.
• Attend pre-convention and client billing review meetings.
• Assist in inventory and receiving procedures and ensure proper posting.
• Maintain timely renewal of hotel licenses/permits and track deadlines.
• Transmit check copies and daily log to shared services for posting.
• Assist in preparing and distributing reports generated by the department.
• Maintain files and distribute information to shared services.
• Respond to inquiries with necessary data and information.
• Answer calls and direct to appropriate departments.
• Support special projects assigned by the Finance Director.
• Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual inventories as appropriate.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings.
