Job summary

Qualifications

• Hospitality or accounting degree preferred.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a hotel.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hotel general ledger operations and support the Director of Finance.
• Prepare and review journal vouchers, month-end reports, and reconciliations.
• Review preliminary financial statements with the Director of Finance.
• Assist with monthly financial reviews and presentations.
• Supervise IT functions and coach staff to Hyatt standards.
• Manage hotel on-site accounting, budgeting, reporting, and cash management.
• Ensure SOX compliance and assist with year-end audit processes.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and analyze variances.
