Job summary

Gilchrist seeks a Director of Business Development and Hospital Programs to lead hospital-based growth, referral operations, and partnerships. You will oversee Clinical Nurse Liaisons and hospital liaison teams, shaping strategies to increase referrals, admissions, and market share while ensuring patient-centered care and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 7–10 years of healthcare leadership, strong analytics and executive communication skills, and a track record in hospice services

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; in nursing, health-related field, marketing, or equivalent.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 7–10 years progressive healthcare leadership experience.
• 3–5 years management experience preferred.
• 5 years’ experience caring for terminal patients and their families preferred.
• Previous marketing and sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Hospital Liaisons and referral teams; establish metrics and accountability.
• Develop and execute comprehensive hospital growth strategies.
• Monitor referral and admission data; present insights at monthly meetings.
• Coordinate with EPIC team to maximize tools and workflows for hospice programs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, quality improvement and customer service excellence.
• Manage department budget and staffing projections; collaborate with leadership.
