Job summary

NV5 is seeking a client-focused business development professional for our Clean Energy group in the United States. You will drive discovery conversations with clients, present our clean energy services, and manage contracts from outreach to execution and ongoing relationships.

You will leverage industry experience in solar, BESS, microgrids, and EV charging to develop opportunities, price scoping, and close deals with both public and private sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in a business development role within clean energy.
• Experience with public bidding and contracting procedures (RFPs/RFQs).
• Ability to understand technical concepts to drive customer needs.
• Knowledge of Solar, BESS, Microgrids, EV charging.
• CA Solar/BESS market experience is a plus.
• Developer-side clean energy project experience is a plus.
• Relevant clean energy certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate new leads and lead initial discovery conversations with prospects.
• Track and report opportunities maintaining a pipeline of opportunities.
• Represent NV5's Clean Energy group at conferences.
• Facilitate scoping/pricing based on client needs.
• Lead contract negotiation and execution to advance opportunities.
