You will handle award setup, invoicing, cash management, and monthly close while ensuring GAAP compliance and sponsor guidelines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with clinical research financial administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, budget planning and financial analysis with the ability to interpret and apply fiscal regulations (preferred with focus on clinical research or healthcare).
• Ability to assess, research, and resolve complex financial and compliance issues while applying sound judgment.
• This position requires a deep understanding of financial management in a clinical trial setting, expertise in research accounting, and a strong background in compliance and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with grant, contract, and sponsor guidelines; maintain compliance with allowable costs, period of performance, subrecipient monitoring, and related reporting.
• Invoicing, accounts receivable, and cash management; invoice promptly, follow up on payments, and ensure cash is properly recorded against programs.
• Perform month-end close; prepare journal entries and ensure GAAP compliance and consistency with institutional policies and systems.
• Prepare and present simple to complex financial reports; meet deadlines and ensure accuracy for management and sponsors.
• Complete project closeout documentation; verify cost-share, remove unallowable costs, and close cost centers in financial systems.
