Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, budget planning and financial analysis.
• Ability to assess, research, and resolve complex financial and compliance issues.
• Deep understanding of financial management in a clinical trial setting, expertise in research accounting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Compliance Management: read and understand grant/contract terms, maintain compliance with allowable costs, tracking, invoicing, and clinical trial billing compliance.
• Invoicing, Accounts receivable and cash management: invoice timely and follow up on payments, ensure proper cash recording.
• Month-end close: prepare journal entries and monthly statements in accordance with GAAP and sponsor guidelines.
• Reporting: prepare financial reports, coordinate with management and program staff, meet deadlines.
• Project closeout: finalize cost center, ensure costs and obligations are properly accounted for.
