Highmark Health seeks a detail-oriented professional to manage post-award financial activities for grants, contracts, and clinical trials within SPFS. You will handle award setup, invoicing, cash management, and reporting, ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines and institutional policies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with financial systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, budget planning and financial analysis with the ability to interpret and apply fiscal regulations.
• Ability to assess, research, and resolve complex financial and compliance issues while applying sound judgment.
• Deep understanding of financial management in a clinical trial setting, expertise in research accounting, and a strong background in compliance and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with grant, contract, and/or clinical trial terms and sponsor guidelines; ensure allowable costs and proper invoicing.
• Invoicing, accounts receivable and cash management; troubleshoot payment variances with Sponsors.
• Prepare month-end close entries and financial statements; ensure GAAP and policy compliance.
• Prepare and deliver financial reports; meet sponsor deadlines and respond to ad hoc requests.
• Complete project closeout documentation ensuring cost share, unallowable costs and obligations are addressed.
• Support audits by providing documentation and evidence.
