Highmark Health's Sponsored Programs Financial Services is seeking a grants, contracts and clinical trials financial administrator to implement post-award activities, including award setup, invoicing, cash management and financial reporting across sponsors.

The role requires a BA in accounting/finance or related field, strong GAAP knowledge, and proven ability to analyze results, ensure compliance, and communicate complex numbers clearly; proficiency in MS Excel and financial systems is

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge of accounting principles, budget planning and financial analysis with ability to interpret fiscal regulations.
Ability to assess, research, and resolve complex financial and compliance issues with sound judgment.
This position requires a deep understanding of financial management in a clinical trial setting, expertise in research accounting, and a strong background in compliance and auditing.

Responsibilities

Compliance management to maintain sponsor and regulatory compliance.
Invoicing, accounts receivable, and cash management with timely payments and cashflow optimization.
Month-end close including journal entries and GAAP alignment.
Reporting of financial results and ad hoc analyses for management and sponsors.
Project closeout ensuring cost share, unallowable costs removal, and proper accounting.
Audit preparation and coordination with internal and external auditors.
