Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive captures from $10M–$50M+ in Federal Government, Defense, and Civilian markets. You will collaborate with capture leaders, SMEs, consultants, and partners while engaging customers through meetings and events.

The role emphasizes planning, organizing, and leading capture efforts, with travel up to 10%, and a focus on winning competitive proposals and building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years’ relevant experience in comparable activities or the equivalent in education plus experience.
• Leadership and project management skills to develop, organize, and execute significant capture activities.
• Excellent communication skills to lead cross‑organizational teams and delegate responsibility.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to facilitate time‑sensitive projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience capturing single‑award opportunities worth up to $100M+ in government revenue.
• Strong proposal development and writing skills to convey capability and approach.
• Ability to operate independently with limited supervision and establish collaborative relationships.
• Excellent oral and written communications and experience briefing senior executives and customers.
• Understanding of the FAR and DFAR and how they impact government procurements

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage captures within assigned markets.
• Perform opportunity surveillance to identify RFIs and qualify pre‑proposal opportunities.
• Develop capture strategies, teaming plans, business plans, and marketing content with cross‑organizational collaboration.
• Develop winning proposals including technical, management, teaming, past performance, staffing, and pricing.
• Lead development of customer profiles, analyzing needs, issues, and goals.
• Lead and coordinate competitive assessments to determine strengths and weaknesses.
• Craft price‑competitive, executable solutions that provide customer value.
• Prepare and lead Milestone Reviews and other required reviews.
• Maintain knowledge management system to track and forecast opportunities; support pipeline discussions.
• Recommend innovative technology solutions to strengthen win strategies.
• Engage customers virtually and in person to shape opportunities and provide intelligence
