Job summary

ProBio in Pennington, NJ, a GenScript subsidiary, seeks a seasoned Buyer/Lead Buyer to drive strategic procurement for materials, CAPEX, and services. You will partner with production and cross-functional teams to optimize terms, manage vendors, and ensure compliant procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for the position.
• At least 5 years of experience as Buyer/ Lead Buyer.
• Knowledge of industry bidding procedures and criteria.
• Strong contract management and negotiations skills.
• Project and change management capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with Excel, PowerPoint and SAP.
• Ability to improve efficiency through KPI programs.

Responsibilities

• Procure Material, CAPEX, and Services.
• Lead purchasing and cost reduction initiatives.
• Interface with internal/external customers to resolve issues.
• Negotiate and implement contracts with partners to optimize terms and deliverables.
• Maintain relationships with functional managers.
• Manage MSAs, annual contracts, and bids.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies and file systems.
• Review supplier performance against contracts and business needs.
• Maintain material codes in ERP/SAP and related systems.
