Job summary

Biogen, Inc. is seeking a Buyer to join our cross-functional team in the United States. You will procure GMP/raw materials for manufacturing campaigns, drive on-time purchases, and optimize external spend while maintaining cost-containment.

In this role, you will partner with Quality, Supply Chain and Materials Science to ensure compliant procurement, strong supplier communication, and accurate reporting. The position offers a collaborative, growth-oriented environment within Biogen's Global

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of related purchasing experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).
• Ability to run reports and update metrics as needed.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to present data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all procurement transactions undergo due diligence and PO conversion.
• Collaborate with Inventory Planning to align purchasing with financial objectives and site goals.
• Engage internal stakeholders including Quality, Supply Chain, and Materials Science.
• Interface with suppliers on PO communication, status, and delivery.
• Resolve supplier issues and escalate as needed.
• Participate in supplier-delays review meetings and issue resolution.
• Ensure adherence to supply agreements and conditions.
• Exchange information with suppliers on lead times, discounts, and vendor issues.
