GenScript USA Inc/ProBio Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a Senior Procurement Lead for Direct Materials to lead the direct procurement team and end-to-end sourcing for production materials.

You will supervise vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, ensure SLA/KPI targets, and drive cost-saving initiatives through category management and market analysis in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and audits readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of procurement/strategic sourcing experience.
• Proven leadership in people or project management.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of biotech/pharma materials; SAP/S2P is a plus.
• Ability to communicate complex situations and drive cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the direct procurement team to meet SLA/KPI targets.
• Oversee material planning for replenishment to meet inventory KPIs.
• Lead strategic sourcing for direct materials and consumables.
• Develop alternative vendors and mitigate supply risks.
• Conduct category management to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts and manage MSAs with suppliers.
• Collaborate with legal for contract execution.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and finance to ensure compliance.
