Job summary

Biogen is seeking a Buyer to procure GMP materials and manage external spend in a cross-functional setting. You will ensure due diligence, PO creation, supplier coordination, and adherence to internal policies to support manufacturing campaigns.

The role requires 1–3 years of purchasing experience, ERP proficiency, and strong communication skills. A GMP background is preferred, with opportunities for growth within Global Business Services.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of purchasing experience required.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent required.
• ERP system proficiency (SAP/Oracle) and MS Office skills.
• Experience in GMP/regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement transactions with due diligence before PO issuance.
• Collaborate with Inventory Planning to align with financial and site goals.
• Engage with Quality, Supply Chain, Materials Science and cross-functional teams.
• Communicate PO status, confirm delivery, and resolve supplier issues.
• Ensure compliance with supply agreements and lead-time negotiations.
