Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Akron seeks a Division Supplier Development Manager to lead supplier performance improvement, risk mitigation, and readiness across the global supply base. You will own the Work Transfer Process, drive shortages resolution, and coach a team across multiple sites.

You will collaborate with procurement, engineering, quality, operations, and program teams to advance lean initiatives, monitor KPIs, and report progress to leadership. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain or related field; MBA preferred.
• 4+ years of leadership in manufacturing operations.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or CI experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, or similar quality standards.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, 8D, RCCA, and SPC.
• Experience with ERP, supplier management, quality, or BI systems.
• Demonstrated teamwork and team-building skills.
• Ability to develop individuals and teams and promote change.
• Capable of leading cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop supplier development team members.
• Lead supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery, cost; drive performance.
• Assess supplier capabilities, capacity, processes, quality systems, and risks.
• Develop and execute supplier improvement plans and corrective actions.
• Partner with procurement, supplier quality, engineering, operations, and program teams.
• Conduct supplier audits, process assessments, and performance reviews.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs: on-time delivery, quality, cost, lead time, responsiveness.
• Support supplier selection, onboarding, and ongoing performance management.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
• Identify supply chain risks and mitigation plans.
• Build strong supplier relationships and accountability.
• Support new product introduction and production readiness.
