ShipMonk is seeking a Senior Manager of Fulfillment Center Operations to lead day-to-day performance, drive labor planning, and coach a large operations team across inbound, outbound, and inventory areas. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering preferred; related fields considered.
• 6–8 years of experience in fulfillment center or equivalent operational/analytical environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and labor systems.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred; apply process improvement methods.
• Proficiency with enterprise tech and Excel, plus scheduling/PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day performance of a functional area or shift, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality.
• Build productivity plans by forecasting labor needs and balancing labor with other managers/IEs.
• Lead 3–7 Supervisors and 50–200+ hourly associates; coach and develop leadership teams.
• Participate in hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Communicate clearly; drive accountability and corrective actions as needed.
• Drive cultural change: safety, quality, engagement, productivity.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping and workforce planning for direct reports.
• Address employee concerns and resolve operational problems for daily fulfillment.
• Maintain sanitation, maintenance, security, and housekeeping; monitor KPIs for profitability and throughput.
• Establish procedures for shipments, material handling, and inventory accuracy; coordinate with internal teams.
• Maintain warehouse layout for optimal flow and compliance with policies.
• Design, test, and optimize systems that improve labor utilization and processes.
• Analyze data to set standards and performance metrics; review schedules and engineering specs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
• Coordinate quality objectives, oversee inspection teams, and ensure reporting accuracy.
