Job summary

ShipMonk is seeking an Assistant General Manager for our Pittston, PA fulfillment center. You will own daily operations, manage P&L and KPIs, and build a supervisory layer to ensure continuity when you’re away. Lead a 40+ person team and coordinate with other functional leaders to prevent downstream issues.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years in fulfillment, distribution, or supply chain operations
• Experience managing a facility budget and hitting KPIs
• Comfort with WMS and enterprise tools (Excel, project management software, process documentation)
• Track record of building supervisory layers, not just managing individual contributors
• Strong communication to present to executives and on-floor presence
• Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus; degree helps but equivalent experience is fine

Responsibilities

• Daily operations: inbound, outbound, inventory accuracy, equipment maintenance, sanitation standards
• P&L and KPIs: track labor cost, throughput, error rates and adjust levers
• People and culture: hire supervisors, develop frontline leads, run performance conversations
• Cross-functional coordination: align with customer service, sales, and facility leaders
