Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States seeks a Finance Segment Manager to lead financial analysis, planning and data mining for its business segments. The role supports FP&A Finance/Segments and coordinates with Operations, Finance, Accounting, IT, and Sales to deliver results.

You will manage monthly close activities, review P&Ls, and present forecasts to senior leadership. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 6+ years of experience, with advanced Excel,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance (Required)
• Master's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance (Preferred)
• 6+ years in Accounting/Finance or related field (Required)
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Advanced (Required)
• Workday and Adaptive Insights Intermediate (Preferred)
• Programming/relational database design/query Intermediate (Preferred)
• Microsoft Power BI preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage financials of assigned accounts/product lines, including close activities, P&L review, accrual analysis, revenue reconciliations, journal entries (Required)
• Consolidate, prepare, and analyze financial data; coordinate with Ops, Finance, IT, Sales; present close results and forecasts to senior leadership (Required)
• Lead various miscellaneous projects spanning one or more locations (Required)
• Provide coaching and delegation of work to lower level professionals (Required)
• Conduct periodic audits of operations to ensure appropriate controls (Required)
