Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Finance Segment Manager to lead financial analysis, planning and data mining for assigned business segments. You will support FP&A Finance/Segments and coordinate with Operations, Accounting, IT, and Sales to deliver timely results and communicate findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance required.
• Master's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred.
• 6+ years in Accounting/Finance or related field required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (and Office suite) required.
• Workday and Adaptive Insights intermediate preferred.
• Programming and/or relational database design/query intermediate preferred.
• Microsoft PowerBI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages financials of assigned accounts/product lines, including close activities, P&L review, accrual analysis, revenue reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Consolidate, prepare and analyze data; coordinate with Ops, Finance, Accounting, IT, and Sales; present results and forecasts to senior leadership.
• Lead various projects spanning one or multiple locations.
• Coach and delegate work to lower level professionals.
• Conduct periodic audits of operations to ensure controls are effective.
