Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States seeks a Finance Segment Manager to lead financial analysis, planning and data mining for their business segments.

This role supports FP&A Finance/Segments and coordinates with multiple departments to deliver results, requiring a detailed, collaborative and agile approach to financial reporting and modeling. The incumbent will manage monthly closes, P&L reviews, accrual analyses, revenue reconciliations and journal entries, while coaching staff, leading

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance required.
• Master's degree in accounting and/or finance preferred.
• 6+ years in accounting/finance or related field required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
• Workday and Adaptive Insights intermediate preferred.
• Programming and/or relational database design/query intermediate preferred.
• Microsoft PowerBI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages financials of assigned accounts/product lines, including monthly close activities, review of P&L, cost and revenue accrual analysis, revenue reconciliations, preparing journal entries.
• Consolidate, prepare, and analyze financial data; coordinate with Operations, Finance, Accounting, IT, and Sales; present close results to senior leadership.
• Lead various miscellaneous projects spanning one or multiple locations.
• Provide coaching, review and delegation of work to lower level professionals.
• Conduct periodic audits of operations to ensure appropriate controls are in place and effective.
