Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to own the operating model, planning cadence, and spend discipline across the base business as we launch new insurance products and lines.

You will partner with functional leaders, report to the VP of Finance, and work closely with the CFO and founders to turn financial insights into actionable decisions that drive growth and efficiency in a high-growth marketplace.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in finance, FP&A or strategic finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or similar.
• Strong financial modeling, driver-based operating models, scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Experience with unit economics (CAC, LTV, payback) in consumer/marketplace.
• Able to translate complex analysis into a clear executive narrative for leadership.
• Startup or high-growth experience preferred, building processes from scratch.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools for analysis and automation.
• Nice to have: insurance/insurtech, fintech, or marketplace experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the operating model and forecast cycle for base business and new products.
• Run annual budgeting and long-range planning end-to-end.
• Own monthly and quarterly forecast cycle and variance analysis.
• Write executive narratives for CFO, founders, board and investors.
• Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders.
• Evaluate and implement a planning system and rollout.
• Build the financial case for new opportunities (market size, economics, return).
• Monitor product/channel economics including CAC, LTV, payback, retention, contribution margin.
• Support corporate development with diligence and modeling as needed.
• Frame build/buy/partner decisions using clear return frameworks.
• Underwrite vendor spend and negotiate terms with budget owners.
