Job summary

Jerry.ai is hiring a Strategic Finance Manager to own the operating model, planning cadence, and spend discipline as the company scales its insurance and new verticals.

You will partner with functional leaders, drive the annual budget, long-range plans, and monthly forecasts, and translate results into clear business insights for the CFO and founders. This is a full-time, remote-friendly role based in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a similarly quantitative field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally combining 2+ years at an investment bank, corporate development, or private equity with 2+ years in strategic finance or FP&A at a high-growth company.
• Strong financial modeling skills: driver-based operating models, three‑statement mechanics, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with unit economics in a consumer or marketplace business, including CAC, LTV, payback, cohort retention, and contribution margin.
• Startup or high-growth experience strongly preferred, including building financial processes from scratch.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools for analysis, research, and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Own the operating model and forecast cycle.
• Run the annual budget and long-range planning process end to end.
• Own the monthly and quarterly forecast cycle and variance analysis.
• Write the executive narrative for CFO, founders, and board.
• Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders.
• Support planning system evaluation and rollout.
• Build the financial model for new product/vertical/channel/partnership.
• Monitor economics including CAC, LTV, payback and margins.
• Support corporate development activities and diligence as needed.
• Frame build, buy or partner decisions.
• Underwrite vendor spend with business cases and negotiation visibility.
