Jerry.ai is hiring a Strategic Finance Manager to own the driver-based operating model and the planning cadence as the company expands into new markets and product lines. You will partner with functional leaders, CFO, and founders to build, explain, and defend the financial plan and reporting standard used for external diligence.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience combining investment banking/corporate development/private equity with 2+ years in strategic finance or FP&A at a high-growth company.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or similar quantitative field.
• Strong financial modeling skills: driver-based operating models, three-statement mechanics, scenario and sensitivity analysis, GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with unit economics in consumer/marketplace businesses (CAC, LTV, payback, cohort retention, contribution margin).
• Track record translating complex analyses into a clear executive/investor narrative.
• Startup/high-growth experience; building financial processes from scratch is advantageous.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools for analysis, research, and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Own the operating model and forecast cycle for base business and new product lines.
• Run annual budget and long-range planning end-to-end with cadence and stakeholder inputs.
• Own monthly/quarterly forecast cycle, variance analysis, and explain deviations to leadership.
• Translate financial results into clear business insights for CFO, founders, board, and investors.
• Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders and drive decisions.
• Support evaluating and implementing a planning system; assess options and drive rollout.
• Build financial cases for new opportunities: size market, model economics, evaluate capital commitments and returns.
• Read results against the case post-launch; monitor CAC, LTV, payback, retention, contribution margin.
• Support corporate development: diligence, modeling, and transaction analysis as needed.
• Frame build/buy/partner decisions; refine decision frameworks and return profiles.
• Underwrite vendor spend and give budget owners visibility to manage numbers.
