Job summary

Jerry.ai is hiring a Strategic Finance Manager to own the operating model, planning cycle, and spend discipline. You will partner with leaders across the company and work closely with the CFO and founders to translate finance results into strategic insights and drive decision-making.

You will build driver-based models for current and new product lines, manage budgeting and rolling forecasts, and guide executive-level storytelling.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years at an investment bank, corporate development, or private equity, plus 2+ years in strategic finance or FP&A at a high-growth company.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a similarly quantitative field.
• Strong financial modeling skills and GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with unit economics in consumer/ marketplace businesses (CAC, LTV, payback, cohort retention, contribution margin).
• Startup or high-growth experience, including building financial processes from scratch.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools for analysis, research, and workflow automation.
• Nice to have: Insurance/insurtech/fintech or marketplace experience; CFA; vendor negotiation or procurement exposure; finance tech stack (NetSuite, Ramp, planning tools).

Responsibilities

• Own the operating model and forecast cycle end-to-end; manage base business model and expansion into new products and lines.
• Run annual budgeting and long-range planning; coordinate inputs and consolidation for executives.
• Own monthly/quarterly forecast cycle and variance analysis; explain movements to leadership.
• Write executive narratives translating results into clear business insights for CFO, founders, board, and investors.
• Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders and drive decisions.
• Evaluate and implement planning system options and lead rollout.
• Build financial case for new opportunities (models, market sizing, return profiles).
• Frame build/buy/partner decisions and support corporate development with diligence and transaction analysis.
