Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to own the operating model, planning cadence, and spend discipline as we expand into new products and markets. You will partner with functional leaders, report to the VP of Finance, and work closely with the CFO and founders to ensure planning accuracy and external-diligence readiness.

You will build financial models for new opportunities, manage budget cycles, and deliver executive-ready insights.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in finance or FP&A, preferably in high-growth or startup settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a similar quantitative field.
• Strong financial modeling skills including driver-based models and three-statement mechanics.
• Experience with unit economics such as CAC, LTV, payback, and contribution margin.
• Ability to translate analysis into a clear narrative for executives and investors.
• Startup or high-growth experience is highly preferred, including building processes from scratch.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools for analysis and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Own the driver-based operating model and forecast cycle across base business and new lines.
• Run annual budgeting and long-range planning end-to-end with stakeholder inputs.
• Own monthly/quarterly forecast cadence and variance analysis post-close.
• Write executive narratives for CFO, founders, board, and investors.
• Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders to drive decisions.
• Evaluate and implement planning system options and rollouts.
• Build the financial case for new opportunities (models, CAC/LTV, capex).
• Underwrite vendor spend and manage commitments with budget owners.
