Job summary

Jerry.ai is hiring a Strategic Finance Manager to own the operating model, planning cycle, and spend discipline, partnering with across-the-company leaders and reporting to the VP of Finance. You will own the forecasting process and executive narratives, enabling decisions for new opportunities and vendor spend.

The role requires multi-year, cross-functional finance experience in high-growth environments, strong modeling skills, and a hands-on approach to AI-powered analysis.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally combining 2+ years at a reputable investment bank, corporate development group, or private equity with 2+ years in strategic finance or FP&A at a high-growth company.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a similarly quantitative field.
• Strong financial modeling skills: driver-based operating models, three‑statement mechanics, scenario and sensitivity analysis, GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with unit economics in consumer or marketplace businesses (CAC, LTV, payback, cohort retention, contribution margin).
• Track record translating complex analysis into a clear narrative for executives or investors.
• Startup or high-growth experience; building financial processes from scratch.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools for analysis, research and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Own the operating model, planning cadence, and spend discipline.
• Lead annual budget and long-range planning end-to-end.
• Own monthly and quarterly forecast cycle and variance analysis.
• Write executive narrative for CFO, founders, board and investors.
• Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders; drive decisions.
• Support planning system evaluation, recommendations and rollout.
• Build financial models for new products, verticals, channels or partnerships.
• Monitor results against the case, assess CAC and LTV, payback, retention and margins.
• Support corporate development through diligence and analysis.
• Frame build/buy/partner decisions with clear frameworks.
