Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in the United States is seeking a seasoned finance professional to own planning, budgeting, and performance reporting. You will manage P&L, headcount, balance sheet, and capital through the planning system and coordinate variance analysis and commentary.

In this role, you’ll partner with Accounting Shared Service to ensure accurate monthly closes, deliver insightful management reports, and drive improvements. Strong Excel and SAP/BPC skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in Accounting and Costing in Manufacturing.
• Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficient Excel skills.
• Knowledge of SAP and BPC a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops monthly, quarterly and annual Plan, LRP and LBEs including P&L, headcount, balance sheet, and capital.
• Operates independently to prepare variance analyses for each planning cycle and creates management reporting schedules.
• Works with Accounting Shared Service on monthly close and reporting for accurate results and commentary.
• Provides insights into drivers of performance and informs prioritization decisions.
• Leads financial reviews and approvals for POs and invoices.
• Leads ad hoc analyses, projects and process improvements.
• May supervise one or more direct reports.
