Job summary

Jerry.ai is hiring a Strategic Finance Manager to own the driver-based operating model and lead the planning cycle across the company. You will partner with functional leaders and work closely with the CFO and founders to evaluate opportunities and drive the financial narrative.

You will build and refine models for new products, verticals, channels, and partnerships, tracking CAC, LTV, payback, and contribution margins, and translating results into actionable business insights for executives.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years at a reputable investment bank, corporate development group, or private equity with 2+ years in strategic finance or FP&A at a high-growth company.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a similarly quantitative field.
• Strong financial modeling skills: driver-based operating models, three-statement mechanics, scenario and sensitivity analysis, GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with unit economics in a consumer or marketplace business (CAC, LTV, payback, cohort retention, contribution margin).
• Startup or high-growth experience, building financial processes from scratch.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools for analysis, research, and workflow automation.
• Insurance/insurtech/fintech/marketplace experience; finance tech stack experience (NetSuite, Ramp, planning tools).

Responsibilities

• Own Jerry’s driver-based operating model for the base business and expansion as new products launch.
• Explain movements against plan after accounting closes and forecast.
• Translate financial results into clear business insights for the CFO, founders, board, and investors.
• Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders and drive data-backed decisions.
• Build the financial case for new opportunities and partnerships.
• Build and monitor financial models for new product, vertical, channel, or partnership; assess CAC, LTV, payback, and margins.
