Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Proposal Manager to lead federal sector pursuits from a US-based office or remotely within the US. You will guide strategy, write and edit proposals, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver compelling, compliant deliverables.

You will manage win themes, budgets, and schedules, collaborating with technical teams and support functions to drive successful captures and proposals with strong messaging and credibility.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in management, journalism, English, or related field, or 5+ years of proposal management experience.
• Experience managing proposals, presentations, and related sales deliverables.
• Proposal experience in the engineering/environmental industries.
• Strong English writing, editing, and proofreading for sales messaging.
• Strong business acumen to drive competitive positioning.
• Well organized to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders across teams.
• Leadership to drive the sales process and coordinate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate strategy sessions for opportunities, accounts, or geography.
• Lead integration of pursuit strategy and win themes into proposals.
• Analyze complex issues and develop solutions for sales activities.
• Lead proposal efforts including win strategy and deliverables.
• Manage proposal development process, schedules, and budget.
• Communicate variances and resource needs, coordinating solutions.
• Perform research, writing, editing, and proposal coordination.
• Assemble proposal team and review groups to maximize quality.
• Work with technical teams to outline compliant content and graphics.
• Coordinate with support functions during development.
• Apply Jacobs’ sales practices and knowledge management.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication and negotiation.
• Implement brand guidelines on projects.
• Accurately budget and track level of effort.
