Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Proposal Manager in the United States to lead the preparation and production of proposals for federal sector opportunities. You will unite multidisciplinary teams across business functions to execute a coherent capture plan and deliver compelling, compliant, clear, and credible proposals.

You should bring strong leadership and hands-on proposal capability, including writing skills, with experience in architect-engineer or environmental sectors.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in management, journalism, English, or related field, or 5+ years of relevant proposal management experience.
• Experience managing and developing proposals, presentations, and related sales or business development deliverables.
• Proposal experience in the engineering and/or environmental industries.
• Strong English writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a sales focus.
• Strong business acumen to drive competitive positioning on pursuits.
• Well organized to manage multiple tasks concurrently and engage with stakeholders.
• Strong leadership to drive the sales process and coordinate with teams both in person and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate strategy sessions for opportunities, clients, accounts, and geographies.
• Lead integration of pursuit strategy/win themes into proposals.
• Analyze complex issues and develop solutions for sales-related activities.
• Lead proposal efforts and deliverables including win strategy development and budgeting.
• Proactively communicate issues, resource needs, or variances and help develop solutions.
• Independently perform research, writing, editing, and proposal production and coordination.
