Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to lead operations for its 88,000-square-foot headquarters in Tysons, VA and additional leased properties. You will oversee preventative maintenance, safety, security, budgets and vendor relationships while coordinating with leadership across a 400+ person organization.

The role requires strategic planning with hands-on oversight, staff management, and a proven track record in commercial facilities and real estate management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant facilities, property management, workplace operations or related experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of management experience, including employees, vendors and/or contractors.
• Experience managing owned and leased properties.
• Experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience managing vendor and contractor relationships.
• Experience managing facilities budgets and operating expenses.
• Experience leading facilities projects and improvements.
• Experience with commercial leases, landlords and/or real estate brokers.
• Strong understanding of building operations, maintenance, safety and security.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with an ERP or business application system preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel occasionally.
• Must be able to work onsite five days per week.
• Must live within approximately 30 commuting miles of Vienna, VA

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day facilities operations for the headquarters and leased properties.
• Oversee maintenance, safety and security programs.
• Develop and manage annual preventive maintenance schedules.
• Inspect buildings and grounds and prioritize maintenance requirements.
• Manage landlord, vendor and contractor relationships.
• Monitor vendor performance, service levels and contractual compliance.
• Manage commercial lease activity and coordinate with real estate brokers.
• Evaluate alternatives for new leases, renewals and extensions.
• Support commercial lease negotiations.
• Manage facilities budgets and operating expenses.
• Establish priorities for facilities improvements and projects.
• Lead facilities-related improvement and special projects.
• Supervise facilities employees and third-party contractors.
• Plan workloads and provide coaching and performance management.
• Participate in personnel decisions relating to the facilities team.
• Maintain accurate records regarding repairs, projects and vendor performance.
• Partner with teams throughout the organization to support workplace needs.
• Support facilities requirements across a national operational footprint.
• Travel occasionally based on business needs
