Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in McLean, VA is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to oversee comprehensive facilities operations on-site. You will manage maintenance programs, vendor relationships, and capital projects, ensuring safety, efficiency and regulatory compliance across all building systems.

The role requires at least five years in facility management, a relevant degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Admin or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in facility management or building operations.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, codes (OSHA/ADA), and local regulations.
• Proven experience with budgets, vendor contracts, and capital projects.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills, ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all facility operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life safety systems.
• Manage vendor relationships and service contracts; negotiate terms and control costs.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance to extend asset life and reduce downtime.
• Lead capital improvement projects from planning through execution within budget.
• Conduct facility inspections and audits; support safety, efficiency and sustainability goals.
• Monitor facility budgets and prepare performance reports for leadership.
• Coordinate space planning and workplace changes to support business needs.
