Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager to lead day-to-day soft-services and workplace operations across HQ, Co|Lab, and The Shed in Falls Church, VA. You will supervise multiple direct reports, partner with Building Engineering on technical issues, and support emergency response activities.

The role requires 5–8 years of facilities management experience, strong vendor management, and the ability to coordinate events, moves, and complex safety programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5-8 years progressive facilities management experience, incl. 2+ years at 100,000+ SF.
• Experience managing multi-vendor service contracts, bids, and enforcing service levels.
• Experience coordinating corporate events, workplace services, moves, and operations for large populations.
• Proficiency reading construction drawings.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• On-call availability 24/7 for building emergencies; valid driver's license and clean MVR; OSHA 30-hour certification preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead soft-services and workplace operations across HQ, Co|Lab, and The Shed.
• Manage vendor performance, RFP/RFQ processes, and renewals.
• Oversee contractors, access plans, safety orientation, and punch lists.
• Coordinate events, moves, and master event calendar with stakeholders.
• Administer safety, security, and emergency-preparedness programs.
• Lead team goals, performance reviews, and cross-functional coordination.
