Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an External Manufacturing Sourcing Manager to define sourcing opportunities, develop strategies, and lead negotiations with suppliers across locations including Midland, Houston, Terneuzen, and Tarragona.

You will drive value, manage risk, and collaborate with internal partners to optimize Dow’s procurement portfolio. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience, 5+ years in sourcing, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience at or above a U.S. E5/Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking OR 10 years of relevant working experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
• For U.S. Applicants: A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Responsibilities

• Clarify the scope of purchase and relevant service requirements with stakeholders.
• Drive value from the market using market knowledge and best practices; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assess and manage risk profile of the market, supplier, and purchase activities.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to enable competitive, reliable purchase meeting safety and compliance.
• Lead supplier qualification, RFIs, RFQ/RFP, bid evaluation and negotiations.
• Analyze complex problems and evaluate established and new solutions with judgment.
• Negotiate and implement commercial agreements according to regional strategies.
• Conduct Supplier Performance Evaluation and drive SRM improvements via KPIs.
• Use influential leadership to elevate the workgroup's performance.
