Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an External Manufacturing Sourcing Manager to define sourcing opportunities, develop strategies, and negotiate with suppliers to optimize sustained value.

The role involves working with internal partners, leading projects, and driving supplier performance improvements across multiple locations including Houston, Midland, Terneuzen, and Tarragona. You will analyze market conditions, leverage supplier relationships, and ensure safety and compliance while guiding small projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent military experience) in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Clarify purchase scope and service requirements with stakeholders.
• Drive value from the market through sourcing strategies and best practices.
• Assess risk and manage supplier and purchase activities.
• Develop sourcing strategies for competitive and reliable purchasing.
• Lead supplier qualification, RFx processes, competitive bidding and negotiations.
• Analyze problems, challenge inefficiencies and evaluate solutions.
• Negotiate, execute and implement commercial agreements.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and drive continuous improvement.
• Use influential leadership to elevate team performance.
