Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an External Manufacturing Sourcing Manager who will define sourcing opportunities, develop strategies, leverage supplier relationships, analyze market conditions and negotiate to optimize value for Dow.

This role will require leadership across projects and collaboration with internal partners. The position can be located in Midland, MI; Houston, TX; Terneuzen (NL); or Tarragona (ESP), and demands strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills to deliver

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree OR relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking OR 10 years of relevant working experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
• For U.S. Applicants: A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to clarify the scope of purchase and service requirements.
• Drive value from the market through market knowledge and best practices; propose competitive cost-saving solutions.
• Assess and manage risk of market, supplier, and purchase activities.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies meeting safety, qualification, and compliance.
• Lead supplier qualification, RFIs, RFQ/RFPs, competitive bidding, bid evaluation and negotiations.
• Resolve complex problems by examining information from multiple sources and evaluating solutions.
• Negotiate, execute and implement commercial agreements aligned with regional strategies.
• Conduct Supplier Performance Evaluation and drive continuous improvement via SRM and KPIs.
