Job summary

Delta Dental of Virginia seeks a strategic leader to establish and mature enterprise data governance and stewardship capabilities. You will shape data definitions, ownership, and standards across the organization to enable trusted analytics, regulatory compliance, and growth.

You will collaborate with executives, stakeholders, and technology teams to drive accountability, data literacy, and high-quality data assets for decision-making and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Data Science, or related field required.
• 8+ years leading enterprise data strategy, governance, analytics, or large-scale transformation.
• 5+ years leading across matrixed orgs and influencing stakeholders; healthcare/regulated industries preferred.
• Demonstrated success establishing or maturing enterprise data governance programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead enterprise data governance strategy, framework, and operating model.
• Establish data ownership, stewardship practices, standards, and accountability across domains.
• Partner with business and tech leaders to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and security.
