Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington is seeking an Employee Relations Consultant to serve as a strategic HR business partner to senior leaders and managers across assigned academic and administrative units. You will provide advanced employee relations consultation, guidance on remote work, ADA accommodations, and organizational effectiveness while ensuring policy alignment and legal compliance.

This role emphasizes long-term partnerships over transactional case work, partnering with HR COEs and campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 3 years of human resources or related experience.
• SHRM-CP/PHR certification within 1 year of hire.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Builds consultative partnerships with leaders across units to advise on employee relations, engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
• Advises on sensitive employee relations matters with high complexity, risk, or visibility.
• Coaches leaders on documentation, communication, conflict resolution, performance management, and workplace culture practices.
