Job summary

Taylor Company is seeking a Distribution Logistics Manager to lead the organization’s distribution, logistics, warehousing, inventory, and material flow. You will align operations with business goals, develop leaders, and drive continuous improvement across the distribution network.

The role partners with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service, Parts, Quality, Finance and other functions to optimize availability, capacity, service, and cost efficiency. A strong Lean background is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; roughly two years of education or experience.
• Minimum five years of leadership in materials management, distribution, logistics, warehousing, or related operations.
• Strong knowledge of distribution, warehousing, inventory management, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for distribution, logistics, warehousing, inventory, shipping, receiving, and material flow operations.
• Establish priorities, resource needs, and performance expectations aligned with business and customer needs.
• Oversee capacity, workflow, staffing, facilities, equipment, and material flow to support current and future requirements.
• Monitor KPIs and drive actions to address constraints, service issues, and performance gaps.
• Lead initiatives to improve productivity, service, quality, cost, capacity, and utilization.
• Champion Lean and continuous improvement to reduce waste and optimize resources.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service, Parts, Quality, Finance, and other functions.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across the distribution environment.
