Job summary

Taylor Corporation in York, PA is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead site operations with a focus on safety, quality, service, and productivity. You will guide leaders on the floor, drive continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with customer commitments and budgets.

The role requires hands-on leadership, collaboration with the Director of Operations, and a proven track record of improving operational performance in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing/production.
• Experience leading manufacturing teams with safety, quality, productivity, service, and employee performance.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and accountability skills.
• Experience managing production priorities, staffing, and workflows in fast-paced environments.
• Strong problem-solving to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Experience supporting safety programs and maintaining a strong safety culture.
• Experience with quality standards, corrective actions, or process improvement initiatives.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge or similar continuous improvement methods.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing production needs.
• Experience with budgets, labor costs, productivity metrics.
• Strong written and verbal communication across levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve operational issues with leadership to support profitability and long-range goals.
• Provide direction across operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, service, and cost targets.
• Be a visible leader on the floor, reinforcing values, expectations and teamwork.
• Develop and coach manufacturing leaders and staff for performance and succession.
• Build a strong safety culture and address risks proactively.
• Ensure production plans, staffing, equipment capacity, and resources align with customer needs.
• Monitor performance and address delays, quality issues, or capacity constraints.
• Drive continuous improvement through standardized processes and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with maintenance and other teams to prioritize reliability and preventive maintenance.
• Identify opportunities to improve yields, reduce waste, and lower costs.
