Job summary

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Manager for its York, PA facility. This role leads site manufacturing operations with a focus on safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost management, reporting to the Director of Operations.

The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, develop employees, and ensure production plans meet customer commitments while building a strong safety culture and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or production.
• Experience leading teams responsible for safety, quality, productivity, and employee performance.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; coach, develop, motivate staff.
• Experience managing production priorities, staffing, workflow in fast-paced settings.
• Strong problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis.
• Experience with safety programs and maintaining a safety culture.
• Experience with quality standards and process improvement.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methods.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and evolving production needs.
• Experience with budgets, labor costs, and productivity metrics.
• Strong written and verbal communication across levels.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead site operations to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
• Develop manufacturing leaders and manage staffing, schedules, and capacity.
• Ensure on-time production planning and customer commitments.
• Foster a strong safety culture and address risks proactively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet budgets and cost goals.
• Monitor KPIs and implement action plans when targets are missed.
• Oversee equipment reliability and preventive maintenance.
• Support capital investments and cost-reduction programs.
• Communicate performance and priorities to leadership.
