Job summary

American Water seeks a Director of Change Management to lead Organizational Change Management (OCM) and Human Capital Consulting efforts across AW2030 and related transformation initiatives. You will define methodologies, governance, and best practices to accelerate organizational agility and adoption of change.

You will partner with HR, Technology, Operations, Finance, and other functions to ensure readiness, leadership alignment, and sustainable benefits realization across a matrixed

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in change management and transformation.
• 7+ years leading teams and enterprise-wide transformational initiatives.
• Experience in large-scale transformations, ERP or digital modernization.
• Experience in highly regulated, asset-intensive environments preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide change management programs across transformation initiatives.
• Develop stakeholder engagement and communication strategies for all audiences.
• Advise executives on workforce readiness, operating models, and leadership alignment.
• Build change leadership capabilities and adoption metrics for programs.
