Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking a senior leader to guide the design development and delivery of major capital transit projects, including light rail, commuter rail, and bus rapid transit facilities.

You will direct multi-disciplinary teams, ensure alignment with agency objectives, and maintain rigorous design and safety standards across programs, while engaging stakeholders and representing Sound Transit in public briefings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or closely related field.
• Six years of leadership, budgetary, planning and workforce management experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes quality and safety awareness and adherence to safety policies and procedures; ensures contracts comply with safety certification requirements.
• Assembles, directs, and manages design teams to achieve milestones and design quality within budget.
• Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews work of staff; assigns work activities and coordinates schedules.
