Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking a seasoned leader to manage the Systems Construction Manager team within the Center of Excellence in the Capital Delivery Department. You will oversee procurement, design, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning for major capital and state of good repair projects.

You will coach staff, develop robust procedures, and coordinate with divisions and outside agencies to drive continuous improvement and equity while meeting program objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Engineering, or related field.
• Six years of program management support experience in planning, engineering, or construction.
• Six years of leadership, budgetary, planning and workforce management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work of assigned staff; provide feedback and development.
• Lead hiring/on-boarding, support matrixed staff, and manage procurement of consultant staff.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and funds for staffing, equipment, and supplies.
• Develop programmatic work plans, goals, and KPIs to monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance with laws, agency policies, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments, vendors, and outside agencies; escalate issues when needed.
