Job summary

Sound Transit seeks a civil engineering leader to oversee the West Seattle Link Extension design elements and related projects. You will coordinate large design consultant teams and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and external partners to deliver high-quality design aligned with the agency's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Five years of civil engineering/architectural design experience with project and contracts management.
• Three years of leadership, budgeting and workforce management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coaches, trains and motivates staff.
• Manages complex large transit civil engineering design and coordinates multiple design teams and consultants.
• Administers engineering contracts, reviews designs, schedules and budgets; supports construction.
• Plans and negotiates third-party agreements and permits for corridor projects.
• Ensures design support during construction and change management.
