Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking a professional to support multiple managers in planning, design, and construction of capital projects in the Seattle area. The role coordinates resources, schedules, and communications with agencies and the public during all project phases.

Responsibilities include feasibility studies, contractor management, and public outreach, with emphasis on budget and schedule adherence. A bachelor's degree and several years of PM experience in related fields are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Four years of experience providing project management support in planning, engineering, or construction.
  • Experience managing scope, schedule, and budget on small to mid-size projects.
  • Public sector transit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and coordinates project-related documentation and materials; manages specific project tasks as directed.
  • Supports development of projects; verifies submittals, monitors schedules, and participates in feasibility studies and technical documentation.
  • Supports management of signage, wayfinding, and related design/construction contracts; coordinates with multiple departments and agencies.
  • Participates in design and construction phases of larger projects; prepares meeting materials and communicates with stakeholders.
  • Drafts budgets, forecasts, and schedules; tracks expenditures and prepares agency reports.
  • Provides technical analyses and prepares maps or presentations to support project goals.
