Job summary

Amazon’s Data Centers are industry leading examples of innovation in design, efficiency, and cost effectiveness. As a Pre-Construction Manager you will support the development and implementation of a Pre-Construction program across multiple campuses nationwide, serving as the primary liaison between Real Estate, Design Engineering, Due Diligence, and other partner teams to forecast schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of project management experience in data centers or critical infrastructure.
Experience with MS Excel, Word, and Windows OS.
Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

Review and drive improvements in baselines for critical data center construction scopes.
Conduct build phasing evaluations in civil, structural, electrical domains for sites.
Negotiate with land sellers, developers, and GCs; evaluate bids and scoping documents.
Manage GC and third-party vendors during the design phase of preconstruction.
Define construction scopes and issue RFPs to General Contractors; review bids and milestones.
Support issuing contracting documents (Work Orders, Purchase Orders, Work Letters).
Develop handoff project documentation to Construction Manager partners.
Capture lessons learned to improve the overall program.
Travel up to 25%.
