Job summary

GEODIS in Philadelphia seeks a Customs Brokerage Operations Manager - Freight Forwarding to direct import/export operations within the station, ensuring compliant, productive and profitable performance. You will lead daily communications, troubleshoot root causes, manage workload and onboarding for customers, and coach a team while maintaining customer relationships and SOPs to support timely shipments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–7 years relevant experience in the industry or equivalent
• Licensed Customs Broker strongly preferred
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and regulations
• Ability to write reports and procedure manuals
• Strong problem-solving and instruction interpretation skills

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily communication and provide support to resolve issues and escalations
• Lead troubleshooting and implement solutions
• Monitors team productivity and workload
• On-board new customers
• Maintain customer relationships
• Manage employees including interviews, training, evaluation and coaching, and time/attendance
• Review daily reports including financial reports
• Maintain SOP for customers
