Job summary

Imperial Brady is seeking a Credit & Collections Specialist in Detroit, MI to manage a portfolio of customer accounts and ensure timely collection of past-due invoices. You will analyze creditworthiness, monitor risk, and lead resolutions with internal teams to optimize cash flow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of B2B collections experience.
• Knowledge of the order-to-cash process.
• Ability to quickly build rapport with customers and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts within assigned portfolio (review order holds, collect receivables, monitor risk, assess and analyze creditworthiness).
• Identify problem accounts, write-offs, and related adjustments, and lead work until resolution.
• Provide proactive action plans via monitoring of past due percentages.
• Negotiate payment arrangements; create strategic action plans to improve cash flow timeliness.
• Collaborate with Business Operations and Cash Applications teams to resolve open credits & refunds.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and departmental procedures.
• Maintain portfolio metrics (past due percentage, days past due, DSO).
