Job summary

A Controller role based remotely in Puerto Rico is open to seasoned accounting leaders. You will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls, partnering with the CFO to drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing accounting functions and teams.
• Strong experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and audit processes.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP/accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll reconciliation, fixed assets, and month-end close.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per GAAP.
• Ensure integrity and consistency of financial reporting across entities and business units.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Partner with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Analyze financial results, KPIs, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop financial analyses and dashboards for strategic decisions.
• Lead internal controls, compliance, and audit support.
